Yardwork
A landscape studio concept led by immersive garden photography. Follow a courtyard from day to night, collect garden details, lift photographic material samples into a palette and arrange a personal garden inspiration board.
Context
Yardwork is a self-initiated concept for a fictional landscape studio. The garden leads the experience, with layered photography, a wandering field journal and small, tactile ways to discover what feels like your kind of outside.
My contribution
I created the visual direction and built the responsive experience through ATA Creative. Original AI generated concept photography depicts imagined gardens and a matched courtyard in daylight and at night. Visitors use their choices locally to make an inspiration brief; no real project request is submitted.
What the site brings together
Follow the light
A courtyard moves automatically from afternoon to nightfall when the scene is in view. A pause control, manual lighting slider and reduced motion alternative let visitors explore at their own pace.
Pick up a palette
Lift photographic brick, oak, limestone and gravel samples into a personal palette. Direct dragging, tap and keyboard controls make the material library an experience to try on desktop and phone layouts.
Make the brief your own
Save moments from the field journal, move and rotate photos and material samples on an inspiration board, and add a personal note. Garden preferences and collected details become a downloadable text brief.
